Adam Cohen anchors a Montreal memorial to his legendary father Leonard Cohen, turning the Bell Centre into something close to sacred. Adam joins his father's original band on stage, backed by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, while archival footage layers Leonard's face over his son's. Courtney Love delivers a rare, jagged tribute. Elvis Costello and Lana Del Rey follow in a register near devotion. Shaped by reflections from artists including Bruce Springsteen and k.d. lang, this family-sanctioned portrait avoids easy worship. It uses Cohen's dry, self-aware interviews to steady the reverence. He shrugs, corrects a lyric, and the myth softens into a man. By the final moments, Leonard Cohen feels less remembered than returned to the room.
