Theater
Among our most acclaimed contemporary writers, Colm Tóibín’s career spans ten novels including Brooklyn, The Testament of Mary, Nora Webster and House of Names, two story collections and numerous works of non-fiction. He has been Booker shortlisted three times, awarded the Costa Novel Award, the Impac Award and The Sunday Times Award for Literary Excellence, given at Cheltenham in 2019. Having brilliantly reconstructed Henry James’ final years in The Master, in his new novel The Magician, he turns his attention to Thomas Mann in a tale of unrequited love and exile set against the turbulence of 20th century Europe. Chaired by Daniel Hahn.
