Inspired by the music of France’s Maurice Ravel, star choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui partners with Jeroen Verbruggen in a stunning display of dance which many think will write itself into the history of dance.
Verbruggen, winner of ballet’s prestigious Prix de Lausanne, takes his inspiration from Ravel’s Pavane pour une Infante défunte and from Ma mère l‘oye.
Cherkaoui translates Ravel’s Pictures at an Exhibition into dance with a program full of surprises for the Royal Ballet Flanders/Ballet Vlaanderen.
